Offering a vintage 1940's Turner Model BX Crystal Microphone. Nicknamed "The Challenger" and belonging to a class of "Brown Bullet" mics, these were produced between 1940 and 1948 for general purpose voice, public address, auctioneering, Ham Radio, etc, and for harp musicians. It's easy to palm size, with screamin' hot output and midrange dominant audio profile making it ideal for harmonica. The crystal produces a typical mid-range dominant, bass-loss signal with loads of output. (Check the voice sample in the listing video.)
The all aluminum casing with that trademark fin on top has been repainted in a two-tone Brown Enamel, and has a standard 5/8" female thread for either a screw-in handle or for mounting to a stand. A new 4' cable has been hardwired to a 1/4" male phono plug, and a basic display desk stand has been included. ** Always safe, fast fair shipping, plus we offer combined shipping when making multiple purchases.**
