Vintage 1940's Astatic E6G microphone desk stand for T3 JT30 K2 etc... Atlas Shure Turner # 1

  You are looking at a very nice older microphone made by Astatic in the late 1930's to the 1950's. This is the E6G model with the detachable riser that allowed musicians and broadcasters to quickly remove any mic from the stand itself having a practical handle to work with while live as very few people actually held the microphone themselves back then.   Microphones were very expensive and often fragile.

 Pic # 2 shows this very model in a 1940's Astatic catalog along with several others mic models of that era.

 The mic stand has a painted aluminum base with painted wood stem / riser. The handle was detachable by giving it a half twist and lifting upwards. This stand makes for a very stable platform for small, medium and even larger microphones.

 This particular stand has extremely lite wear as you can see. Both the riser and base were repainted. Riser has the typical black paint while the base comes in the hammered silver scheme. Please let the detailed pictures be your guide. All 3 original rubber pads are still present and look great. It will keep the stand from scratching any surface it sits on. The stand is appx 6 inches tall X 5 inches wide. The stand will really compliment and older mic you have and the threading is universal. 5/8 X 27.
