This is one of the more bizarre effects out there. Great effect. The auto Wah option is incredible. Very useful. The other is like nothing you’ve heard before. A percussive series of tones. Kind of like a delay meets an auto wah meets a sequencer. It’s hard to describe. Best used with a drive of some worth behind it. I was using a fuzz face and it was making some crazy off the wall tones. You can check them out on tic tok under “dingusbox”. VCF200. Very unique and fun pedal. Inspiring. I should keep this one.
Full transparency: I previously sold this pedal to a buyer who later claimed it arrived non-functional. Given the reputation and reliability of Oberheim gear, I was surprised, but I immediately accepted the return and issued a full refund.

Once the pedal was returned, I thoroughly tested it and found it working exactly as it should. To be completely certain, I also sent it to Analogman for inspection. They confirmed the pedal was fully functional, gave it a clean bill of health, and even compared it directly against their own unit with matching results.

This is a unique effect that definitely rewards experimentation and a certain playing approach. Players who understand these pedals tend to absolutely love them, but it may not be for everyone or suited to a casual “try it and return it” purchase.

Because of the prior experience, this pedal is being sold as-is. It is fully functional, tested, and verified, and I want to be upfront so the next owner knows exactly what they’re getting.
