MODULE MODEL: BLM DRUM PAD LAB

WIDTH: 8HP

CURRENT:+18mA,-18mA

Audio Generator: No

Basics, type module for Voice: Yes

Internal circuit basics: 1 VCA, 1 Decay Envelope Gen., 1 Drum Pad Conditioner circuit.

What does this module do?

This module was created to process external drum pads, yes electronic drum set pads, into a pulse trigger signal. This pulse trigger then activates an internal envelope generator, and that then controls a VCA. This is basically a mini voice, but with out an onboard sound generator. You patch any vco or noise module into this product.

Uses:

-You can make disco drum and tom sounds.

-You can make very short percussive sounds.

-The VCA also has a DC input, so you can route LFO, or other CV sources through the VCA, and

this would be activated by trigger. To use as a modulator.

You can also just use the module as a single extra VCA: CV input, VCA input and VCA output.

When used with an analog filter (VCF):

-You can patch this up to be the fanciest guitar plucker in your setup.

The sense, and DK CV input, are parameters used to simulate human guitar plucking. The decay out on the DPLAB module would be patched to the external

filter. The audio from the filter would get patched into the DPLAB's VCA AC input.

This module is a must have, considering the low price tag.

How you can trigger the DP Lab.

-external electronic set drum pad (piezo based)

-dynamic microphone (using cable adapter to 3.5mm) and human loud vocal boom speech.

-normal gate or trigger signal from your other Euro Format modules. 0-5v or 0-10v signals will trigger the DPLAB.

use the Sense Knob to adjust the strength of pulse generation.

-A hanging floating patch cable connected to the piezo tri input will machine gun, rapid fire the trigger input. This is normal behavior due to the high pull down resistor values. (10 Meg)

Specs:

-0-10V trigger out possible

-0-10V Decay signal possible

VCA wants 0-10V CV input to open at norm -5v/+5v audio level.

VCA wants -5v/+5v audio signals on the AC input.

VCA can process 0-5V on the DC input, or -5v/+5v, to mix more than one audio signal on the VCA.

0-10V on the DC input (VCA) is possible, but it might distort the signal. This will not harm anything.

Adjusting the Sense knob would lower the processing.

Nice Price. $85.00.
