I am offering a Gibson J-45 Slash Vermillion Burst from 2021, a manufactured in Bozeman, Montana (USA), all solid timber Slash Signature acoustic guitar model with voluminous slope shoulder dreadnought design, selected Sitka spruce top, back and sides made of warm-sounding mahogany, set-in mahogany neck with chunky Custom Slash Custom “C” neck profile and 43.8mm TUSQ nut, elegant rosewood fingerboard with shimmering mother-of-pearl dot inlays, high-quality Grover Rotomatic tuners and L.R. Baggs Element pickup system in a beautifully grained Vermillion Burst high-gloss nitrocellulose finish with single-ply cream bindings in mint condition, including black Gibson luxury hardshell case, manufacturer's papers, and professional setup with 12-gauge Elixir strings.
Dedicated to legendary Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Saul Hudson, aka “Slash,” this J-45 Slash continues the legacy of Gibson's iconic Round Shoulder acoustic line. The popular all-solid timber Round Shoulder Acoustic Gibson J-45 is considered an absolute classic and was first introduced in 1942. Thanks to its wide dynamic range with warm mids and powerful bass, it still holds the affectionate nickname “Workhorse” today.
Like the 1940s original, this modern version comes with a solid mahogany back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top, which is given sufficient space for its resonance thanks to the scalloped X-bracing. However, according to Slash's own specifications, this model comes with a significantly stronger Slash Custom “C” neck profile, which—inspired by the vintage Les Paul models that Slash plays—not only promises extremely comfortable handling, but also provides more tone and better sustain due to the larger wood mass.
The fantastic woods and high-quality craftsmanship of the Gibson Bozeman workshop enable a wonderfully warm and exceptionally powerful sound, with the mids coming into their own. The rounded body also ensures beautiful projection and a balanced, warm tone with a subtle but dynamic range of timbres—ideal for any kind of strumming and picking!
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
The guitar also comes with a high-quality L.R. Baggs Element pickup system, delivering a clear, authentic acoustic sound that is equally impressive live.
Truly a great guitar that—typical of Gibson Montana—combines an outstanding balance of sound, playability, and aesthetics.
