Here is a vintage Pearl Free Floating Piccolo snare. It's a brass shell. 14"×3.5". This is a heavy duty, well built snare. Made in Taiwan 1987.
The Pearl Free-Floating brass piccolo snare drum is known for a bright, crisp sound with a sharp attack.
The "Free-Floating" design means the shell does not make contact with the hardware, which enhances resonance and tonal clarity.
It has some staining on the brass. The original hoops have been re-chromed at some point long ago. A very special snare built to stand the test of time. This snare has come from a studio environment and was stored and cared for properly.
