The ES-336 features a solid mahogany back and sides with a maple top. The neck follows Gibson’s classic construction, with a mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius. A close cousin of the ES-335, it comes in a more compact format similar to the ES-339 and can be seen as a precursor to the CS-356. This Custom Shop example is in very good condition and is fitted with a pair of Classic ’57 humbuckers. It is a very rare model, dating from a period especially appreciated by Gibson enthusiasts for its build quality: the 1990s. Sold in its original case.
