An 80s gem! This Boxer series Squier dating to 6-15-1985 is absolutely a shredder, with a comfortable neck and low string height. These Fuji-Gen built guitars have amassed a reputation for nice great build quality and value over the years, and this one absolutely lives up!
This one has a nice dark rosewood fretboard on a maple neck. It has seen some typical 80s/90s modifications, namely the addition of the Floyd rose - which is a nice quality old unit with locking nut - as well as a swapped out back plate. I am unsure if the pickup is original, but it sounds quite nice for rock and punk style playing. For functional reasons, the potentiometer has been replaced along with the output jack.
This one has certainly seen some use over the years - as they say, the good ones get played! There are miscellaneous dings/scratches/etc throughout - this one is definitely "player grade", however has a cool, almost enigmatic mojo that works well with the blacked out aesthetic. It looks like a guitar that could tell some stories!
It has been setup and restrung with D'Addario XL 9-42s with nice speedy action, and this one is a real blast to play!
