- Neck: Maple with bound veneer rosewood fingerboard, 24" scale.
- Inlays: Pearloid block inlays (became standard around late 1966/1967).
- Headstock Logo: Black Fender "Transition" logo with "R" (registered) mark.
- Finish: professionally Refinished with nitrocellulose lacquer in vintage Shoreline Gold
- Pickups/Electronics: Two specialized single-coil pickups with metal shielding, 22 frets.
- Controls: Two separate circuits (lead/rhythm), including three slide switches on the lower bout and volume/tone wheels on the upper bout.
- Hardware: "F" style tuning machines, floating tremolo system with bridge mute.
- Nut Width: 1 5/8" (approx. 41mm).
