Here for sale is a rare early Besson Fabrication model Bb Trumpet. The S/N 858xx (ca. 1923) is very close to Elden Benge's own Besson (from Robb Stewart's website). There is no patches or major repairs, and he valves were rebuilt by Mark Metzler so they are pretty much better than when it was made new! There is a some signs of red rot in the leadpipe, but it seems pretty minimal, especially for a Besson that is over 100 years old! The bore size is measured at .445" and it plays with a compact brilliant sound with incredible ease in the upper register. Don't miss out on a piece of trumpet history and a fantastic player!
