This Fender Vintage '68 Reissue Thinline Telecaster from the US Custom Shop combines the classic Telecaster twang with the airy openness of a semi-hollow design, authentic as it was first introduced by Fender in 1968. With its acoustically very resonant semi-hollow mahogany body including F-hole, the guitar has an exceptionally low weight of only 2.87kg and immediately feels perfectly balanced, extremely responsive and extremely comfortable on the strap.

The bolt-on maple neck with a medium-width '60s oval “C” neck profile offers a classic, pleasantly round feel that will immediately appeal to both vintage purists and modern players. The maple fingerboard with black dot inlays offers Fender tradition with modern playability thanks to the 7.25“–9.5” compound radius: chords in the lower register feel familiar and vintage, while bendings and solos in the higher registers are clean and effortless. The 21 medium vintage frets and 42mm bone nut ensure precise intonation and a very direct playing feel.

Sonically, the two hand-wound Fender CS '67 Telecaster singlecoils deliver exactly what the late '60s Thinlines are famous for: wiry, open highs, crisp mids, and a woody, slightly hollow fundamental character with noticeable dynamics.
