Dynaco SCA-80Q - Brushed aluminum face with metal body

Recently acquired. It is remarkably clean inside and out, and the prior shop owner replaced at least six Vishay capacitors (some are massive).

This is a hand-wired, integrated amplifier, additionally, per looking up the owners manual, it can also accept a separate preamp.

Power-30 W per channel 8 ohm but not 4 ohm impedance.

A unique feature, it can also output its own version of quad speaker sound (they call it 4 dimension),for those in a retro mood. Because it’s special circuitry it can power all 4 speakers at 30 WPC.

All functions on this unit work as they should, there are no scratchy pots or any non-functional connections or features.

I purchased it out of curiosity. I am accustomed and spoiled to the sound of my Luxman preamps and receivers; so I did not care for the sound of this unique Dynaco vintage piece. So I am selling it (at a loss). The pigtails are not included ( I bought them separately). There is also a Dynaco focused website where you can get five way speaker terminals, but I’m not that handy nor inclined.

Since there isn’t anything wrong with it and with its remarkable aesthetic condition, I was not compelled to return it (although that seller has a 60 day return policy). He sold me a fully functional, very clean unit, that I just don’t like. The bottom line is the prior Seller shouldn’t have to deal with the nuisance of a return. He gave me permission to use any of his photo images besides those that I also created.
