This is a beautiful vintage Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone, serial number approximately 150431, dating to around 1924–1925. These early True Tones are highly regarded for their warm, complex tone, excellent intonation, and exceptional craftsmanship.
The horn retains its original silver-plated finish with natural vintage patina consistent with age. This makes the sound more resonant and warm. Engraving remains crisp and well defined. There is light tarnish and minor verdigris in a few areas, typical for a 100-year-old silver instrument. No heavy corrosion or structural damage is present. All original and well kept!
