Based on the serial number on the label, this guitar was manufactured between 1986 and 1990. Handcrafted at Yamaha's guitar workshop in Japan, the GC31 is regarded as a standard reference model in the Grand Concert Classical series. Back and sides of solid Indian rosewood are combined with a top of European spruce to produce a clear sound with excellent projection. It is praised for its rich, resonant, and well-balanced tone, offering a "Grand Concert" experience at a premium, yet accessible price point.
