Offering a vintage and RARE 1930's era American Microphone Company handheld microphone. American Microphone Co. was a microphone manufacturer founded in Los Angeles in the 1930's, known for producing microphones used in broadcasting and recording. The company ceased operations in the mid-80's after being sold to several different companies, including Electro-Voice, which eventually retired the brand.
This handheld microphone is a good example of the outstanding quality that American produced...a weighty, all chromed mic in excellent condition, with a push-to-talk button, and hardwired to a 4' cable with 1/4" male phono plug. The original pickup element was long dead, and now has been replaced with a new dynamic capsule producing a clean, higher-fidelity signal, and compatible with any modern amplifier system, no special gear required. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) ** Always safe, fast fair shipping, plus we offer combined shipping when making multiple purchases.**
