Aria Pro II TA-65 1990/94

General introduction and background:

Very rare Aria Pro II TA-65 T/VS. This is the setneck, tremolo version of the TA series of guitars. Exceedingly rare, and in great condition. Not sure when it was made – the serial number could mean 1989, 1990 or 1994. Definitely from between these years; made in Korea by Samick.

As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately. But please read the description carefully!

Measurements, weight and other specs:

-Scale:  628 mm

-Nut: ca 4,15 mm

-Weight: 4,06 kg

-Pickups: 2x original humbuckers, measuring 8,12K (B) and 7,99K (N); normal 2x2 control layout, 3 way toggle switch, no coil split.

-Body: hollow, probably laminated spruce or maple with what looks like a solid maple center block

-Neck:  slim C, likely maple, with a 12’’ fretboard and medium jumbo frets. Fretboard could be ebony or very dark rosewood.

Condition:

-Body: excellent condition with no major dings and dongs or fissures.

-Neck: excellent condition; frets have a few crevasses, nothing serious. I didn’t encounter any buzz or fretting out.

-Head: good condition; some dings on the back.

-Hardware: normal signs of age of the gold plating; the plating is flaking off on the bridge.

-Electrics: works; tone pots might crackle a bit due to apparently years of not being in use

-Originality: all original

Sound and Playability:

-Playability and string action: excellent low string action, a breeze to play.

-Sound: Please check out the video for a sound demo. The pickups, despite the modest readings, deliver a bold and loud output, driving the amp. Ideal for chunky, heavy blues rock or classic rock; or Foo Fighters style heavy indie rock.

Repairs, Service:

As always, the instrument has been serviced completely and is ready to be played immediately.

-Completely cleaned

-Frets polished and fretboard cleaned

-New 10 gauge strings put on

-Setup concluded and ready to be played (just tune it up)

Auxiliary stuff:

-No gigbag or case included. The item will be wrapped well, and put into a sturdy cardboard box with lots of filler material. If you wish I can buy a fitting case or gigbag at your costs.

AFTER DELIVERY: After receiving the item, please inspect the package for obvious damages and make photos if there are any. After unpacking, check the item immediately for damages or other undocumented flaws. I accept a 14 days return and will pay for shipping if the item is in a different condition than described upon arrival. Please note that I will only take the item back entirely, but not grant any reduction of price and generally only accept returns if the item was unaltered after arrival.

CITES protection: all of the items I sell have been legally imported to the EU before January 1st 2017 and are registered with the authorities in Hamburg, Germany (if applicable).
