This is a 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom in iconic black finish, commonly referred to as the "Black Beauty." The guitar features a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top and a mahogany neck. The pot date code (1377142) confirms production in the 42nd week of 1971, consistent with a 1972 build. Pickups are Gibson patent sticker humbuckers-though the bridge pickup is missing its sticker, the outline from the original decal is clearly visible. Modifications include a professional refret with medium jumbo frets, replacement gold speed knobs, a new switch tip, and a replaced neck pickup bezel. The original control plate cover remains but has a crack at one screw hole. This guitar comes with a high-quality aftermarket hard case.
