Vintage Tone, Alnico 2 Bars, 4.6k Ohms (Very Deceptively Low Reading)

Big vintage tone, hand-wound, sparkly highs, slightly pushed mids, loose but large bass. Sounds huge in the room. Laid back feel in the neck with wool, but not boom on the bass end. Easy to listen to.

Don't let the deceptively low reading of 4.6k Ohms fool you, the super thick 40 gauge wire gives the lower than average reading. Make no mistake, there is A LOT of copper put down on this coil. The reading is probably closer to the 7 or 7.5K Ohms level in terms of output if this was wound with the industry standard 42 gauge wire. Huge bass end, pleasant mids, ting-ey treble, just enough for a memorable tone without being overbearing. Alnico 2 doesn't bring a lot of treble to the mix, but the low DC reading lets what treble there is shine brightly. All-America parts, made and hand wound in America!
