I am listing a bunch of guitars for friends and mentors who are less tech-savvy than I am—and I'll be selling mostly a bunch of Fenders and Taylors that were purchased as investments, rarely (if ever) played and kept in cases (acoustics with humidifiers) in a climate controlled, smoke-free, pet-free home the past couple of years.

This 2007 PRS SC-250 is a USA-made Core model built during the original production run of one of PRS’s most aggressive and underrated singlecut designs. The SC-250 was developed as a higher-output, modern-leaning alternative to traditional singlecuts, pairing PRS craftsmanship with a tighter, more authoritative voice suited for rock and heavier styles.

The guitar features a mahogany body with a figured maple top, finished in a dark charcoal/black burst that highlights the wood grain without flash. The mahogany set neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard and classic PRS bird inlays, offering a solid, substantial feel and excellent sustain. The 25" scale length strikes PRS’s signature balance between Gibson warmth and Fender snap.

Electronics consist of the original PRS SC-250 humbuckers, designed specifically for this model. These pickups are higher-output than standard PRS fare, delivering tight low end, strong mids, and clarity under gain without becoming harsh. Controls are straightforward and player-focused: one volume, one tone, and a three-way toggle.

Hardware includes a PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, PRS locking tuners, and PRS nut. The guitar remains unmodified and is in excellent condition, with no issues, repairs, or changes. Serial number 7 124075 confirms 2007 USA production.

The SC-250 has been discontinued for years and has developed a cult following among players who want a PRS with a more muscular, no-nonsense voice. Clean early examples like this are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
