The BOSS OD-2 (Turbo OverDrive) is a classic overdrive pedal that first appeared in 1985.

Its greatest feature is its "TURBO Mode," which allows for two different distortion characteristics.

Controls (Knobs)

① LEVEL

Adjusts the overall volume.

Can also be used as a booster.

② TONE

Adjusts the high-frequency output.

Left: Warm / Right: Bright

③ DRIVE

Adjusts the amount of distortion.

Supports low, medium, and high gain.

Key Feature: TURBO Mode

The OD-2 comes in two modes: normal and turbo.

1. NORMAL Mode

Mild, natural overdrive

Similar to the crunch of a tube amp

Character similar to a TS (Tube Screamer)

Excellent compatibility with clean to crunch amps

2. TURBO Mode

Significantly increased gain and low-mids

Fatter, more brutal distortion

Extended sustain, perfect for solos

Sounds leaning more towards '80s and '90s rock and hard rock
