DW8000/DW9000/DW5000 Double Pedal Very Rare

Selling a like new and very hard to find rare DW8000/DW9000 Double pedal complete with extras. I bought this pedal brand new and used it to do 3 or 4 times just to do a soundcheck for a backline rental. Drummers never got to use this pedal cause they either had their own pedal that they were already used to. Just like the dw9000 the dw8000 is more of a hybrid pedal giving u the feel of the dw5000 and the speed and accuracy of the dw9000.

Everything is pretty much the same as the dw9000 except the location of the spring assembly. The bottom aluminum plate from the dw9000 has a smooth finish and the dw8000 has a diamond plate finish. The delta 2 hinge on the heel is black on the dw8000 and the dw9000 is anodized red. That is the only difference when comparing the dw8000 to the dw9000 . The spring assembly on the dw9000 is located on the chain cam and the dw8000 is on the outside frame. One of the reasons why they came out with the dw8000 was because some drummers with big feet would complain that the dw9000 spring assembly which was located on the inside of the frame was hitting their foot or was getting in the way. Also another complaint was when they would play barefooted or with socks, the socks would get caught in the spring assembly. This was told to me a while back from one of the dw representatives. This is the only dw double pedal hybrid that they ever produced.

DW9000 retails for $1,334.00 and sells new for $799.00 DW8000 retails for $1,219.00 and sells new for $699- $729.00 This pedal would give u years of good service if u keep the drive shaft yokes lubricated with high temperature bearing grease and also lubricate the bearings with synthetic oil 15w-50. This is what i use to repair all double pedals. I have been Been repairing drum pedals for 39 years. whats included: dual chain double pedal complete (2) dual beaters plastic and felt (2) toe stops for the foot board w/ bolt (4) different size allen wrenches (1) drum key double pedal bag w/ strap

The #1 feature that no one tells u about that i like about the dw8000 hybrid over the dw9000 is this : If u all of a sudden decide that u want to go old school and purchase another bass drum to have a double bass set up all u have to do is remove the spring assembly from the right pedal and put it on the left pedal and the same thing with the beater. Remove the drive shaft and Tada ! With the dw9000 u cannot do this . The only thing u would have to add is a wing screw that tightens down the toe clamp on the left pedal where it hooks up on the bass drum hoop. How do u like them apples now !

Food for thought : Overtime all double drive shafts wear out and loosen over time . Prolonging the life of the drive shaft is greasing it as often as u can. When its time to replace or update that drive shaft, update it with a trick dw conversion drive shaft. You will thank me later, i guarantee it. Good luck !
