These Stomp Boxes, also known as Mississippi Drum Machines, have a piezo pickup installed inside, which allows you to connect the instrument to your amplifier and adjust the sound. If you use a practice amp, you may not get the full benefits of this Stomp Box.  

A piezo contact microphone works by being in direct contact with the sound source. It has the advantage of being able to eliminate interfering external sounds and not be influenced by sound reflections from nearby objects.

This piezo disk is carefully embedded with a cushioning adhesive, which helps insulate and tone down it’s high-end to reduce feedback and give you a warm, mellow tone.
