The Gibson G2 Thunderbird is the completely restyled USA signature model of the extroverted KISS bassist Gene Simmons. This model combines the uncompromisingly dark rock attitude of the classic Thunderbird design with exclusive features, modern hardware, and a clear tonal focus on powerful, authoritative bass sounds.

The solid mahogany body provides the characteristic foundation of rich low mids, long sustain, and high assertiveness that has made the Thunderbird a fixture in rock and metal productions for decades. In combination with the glued mahogany neck, this results in extremely consistent vibration behavior that reproduces every note played in a stable, focused, and present manner.
