Hello and welcome to the House of Chrome.
You are looking at an older cast iron Synder model floor stand from the 1950's / 60's era that has a classic deco vibe with it's 4 tier "waterfall" design and the stand makes for a very stable platform. It has the universal 5/8 X 27 thread as well so you can use any mic clip or screw on type mic on the stand.
Snyder was a mic stand company that existed for only about 20 years and was one of the few remaining competitors of The Atlas Sound Corporation. Snyder made both desk and floors stands The DM-1 model desk stand was their bread and butter and they sold quite a few but I don't know even now what this model was called?
I personally love this model as it has a ton of character and it does have some decent weight to it. It makes a for a stable and attractive platform for any mic you have. I haven't had one of these stands to offer in over a year. I just rarely come across them and this one is pretty decent despite the lite wear shown. This earlier model had the unique chrome accent piece that sat between the lower riser and cast iron base. Snyder only sold this early version for a few short years before deleting that accent piece all together.
I understand that this mic stand is far from perfect but please look at what I was working with when I got the stand a couple weeks ago in pics # 12 - 15. It was in very rough shape as you can see, It' looms far nicer now and ready for another 70 years of use.
The upper and lower chrome stem / risers looks pretty good with a minimum of wear. A few smaller spots of corrosion but free of any dents or dings. The center clutch mechanism looks very nice and works very well. The top chrome accent piece has a couple dings and lite corrosion. The base has it's original dark grey paint paint with spots of rust here and there. The bottom looks pretty decent as seen in the pics provided. The base was missing a felt pads so I simply removed the 2 remaining pads and applied some industrial strength felt pads with resin. They are going anywhere any time soon and they work perfectly.
Total height when lowered is appx is 34 inches tall X 10 inches wide. Max height is 61 inches.
Again, the stand has the universal 5/8 X 27 threading.
If you need an older stand with plenty of character this example will get the job done. I would rate it a true 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10.
