These are the modern, USA-made ROSS recreations that JHS produced for a limited run and has since discontinued. This listing includes the entire lineup, all in brand-new, never-used condition.

ROSS Compressor

A faithful reproduction of the coveted “Era 2” Gray Box ROSS Compressor, widely regarded as one of the most legendary compressors of its kind.

Controls

• Level – Controls output volume (right is louder, left is quieter)

• Sustain – Controls the amount of compression/sustain (right is more compressed/sustained, left is less)

Side Switch

• Toggles between two modes:

• Vintage – Smooth and warm

• Bright – Brighter and more lively, designed to add clarity for darker pickups or when more high end is desired

Footswitch activates the pedal via soft-touch true bypass switching. Status LED indicates when the circuit is active.

ROSS Distortion

An op-amp, hard-clipping distortion built around the classic 1970s topology seen in pedals like the MXR Distortion Plus, DOD 250, and ProCo RAT.

Controls

• Level – Controls output volume (right is louder, left is quieter)

• Distort – Controls the amount of hard-clipping distortion (right is more distorted, left is less distorted)

• Tone – Adjusts brightness

Side Switch

• Selects between two clipping options:

• Germanium (Era 2 “version”)

• Silicon (Era 3 “version”)

Footswitch activates the pedal via soft-touch true bypass switching. Status LED indicates when the circuit is active.

ROSS Chorus

A true-analog, bucket-brigade chorus utilizing a V3207 chip, delivering classic bucket-brigade chorus tones with a wide range of textures.

Controls

• Rate – Controls the speed of the LFO (left is slower, right is faster)

• Depth – Controls the depth / perceived mix of the chorus effect (left is less, right is more)

Side Switch

• Toggles between two modes:

• Modern

• Vintage

Footswitch activates the pedal via soft-touch true bypass switching. Status LED indicates when the circuit is active.

ROSS Phaser

A versatile OTA-based phaser and faithful reproduction of the original ROSS “Era 2” circuit.

Controls

• Rate – Adjusts the speed of the LFO (left is slower, right is faster)

• Recycle – Controls the amount of feedback from the phaser output stage

• Width – Adjusts the notch spacing (left is less intense, right is more intense)

Side Switch

• Toggles between two modes:

• Classic

• Modern

ROSS Fuzz

A fuzz circuit rooted in previous ROSS history, drawing inspiration from Kustom amplifiers and the Jordan “Bosstone” distortion.

Controls

• Level – Controls output volume (right is louder, left is quieter)

• Fuzz – Controls the amount of fuzz/distortion (right is more, left is less)

Side Switch

• Selects between two modes:

• Vintage – Modeled after classic Bosstone-style fuzz

• Modern – Adds bass gain, resulting in a fuller, heavier fuzz/distortion tone
