Here is what I believe to be a 66 to 69 Gibson EB3 bass. As you may know it's difficult to date older Gibsons precisely. From what I researched according the serial number that was the date range I came up with. I posted a photo of the serial number so you can do your own research.
The bass is in fair condition. Plenty of scuffs and scratches and a impressive ding on the neck. (See photo), none of which affect the playability. I've had it expertly set up by Long Beach Guitars so the action is nice and low and it's very playable. The bridge on this bass has the nylon, adjustable saddles for intonation.
The sounds you can get from this bass are amazing. Everything from booming low end to high end spank. The neck pickup is absolutely thunderous. It's not surprising to me that Jack Bruce loved these. basses so much.
Included is the original Gibson case. The bass came with Gibson speed knobs on it which I hate so I replaced them with what you see pictured. (Original speed knobs included with the bass) Also, I will include a complete set of brand new Witch Hat Knobs, which I think are probably what came on the instrument originally.
This is for local pick up only.
