Harmony 415 1968 tube guitar amp. 2 x 12 Jensens, recapped!

We are reeltoreeltech.com. We generally only work on reel to reel tape decks, but in December we bought the contents of a home recording studio whose owner had passed. Along with tape decks and some outboard gear, we got this nice little Harmony 415 guitar 2 channel amplifier w/tremolo.

Overall the amp was working fine, but considering the age of the unit, we decided to recap it. All tubular capacitors were changed as shown, and since the main filter cap showed no signs of leakage, we left it in place, but added some additional filters under it.

All controls and switches were cleaned, and overall, other than some signs of normal use, the amp is in great shape. All 4 input jacks work, all controls are noise free, and the tremolo depth and speed work as they should.

There's two nice Jensen 12" speakers that sound great, and have no rips or tears in the cones.

We ran the amp for 4 hours to ensure long term reliability.

The added bonus is the custom hand stitched heavy duty cover, that apparently was made by the friend of the owner in Nelson, BC, Canada.

We'd prefer not to ship this amp, as it's large, and couriers are unreliable at best. Still, we can wrap the unit in styro sheeting and bubble wrap, and then shrink wrap the whole amp. If you're somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, or Vancouver, Canada, pickup is done at no charge.

UPDATE: We've had a few inquiries about shipping. We can do it, but the amp would have to go into an oversize 30 X 30 X 16 double wall box from Uline. The total weight, with bubble wrap and careful packing is around 40 lbs. The packing material and box alone is $40, and we'd send via UPS 3 day air only, with full insurance. Any ground courier or USPS will break the amp. Been there, done that.

So it can be done, but won't be cheap, sorry! Of course, if you want to arrange your own shipping, we can do that too, just cover the $40 in packing fees.
