Yamaha CR-700 Natural Sound Stereo Receiver w/ Original Wood Case — Recap, Bench Tested, LED Dial, Fully Tested/Working (120V).
The Yamaha CR-700 (and CR-500) is a rare stablemate of the more familiar Yamaha “00” series receivers, with a distinct styling and internal layout while keeping the classic Yamaha Natural Sound character. This is a North America–compatible 120V example with standard RCA connectors and spring-clip speaker outputs—not a 100V Japan-market unit.

This receiver has been professionally serviced with recap, thorough cleaning/lubrication of switches and pots, a tape loop channel repair, and LED dial lighting. Final functional testing was completed and passed. Bench measurements are included below for buyer confidence.

Condition

• Overall presentation is very good with clean layout and strong classic Yamaha styling
• Honest cosmetic notes (please see photos):
• • Significant loss of faceplate lettering in the upper-right corner (silkscreen wear)

Cosmetic transparency note: The technician noted CR-700 faceplate silkscreening can be unusually fragile. Given the model’s rarity and difficulty sourcing replacement parts, the faceplate was left as-found (no risky re-inking or aggressive restoration attempts).
