This is Gretsch’s signature model for Jack Antonoff (Bleachers, Fun, songwriter for Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift). It’s a rerelease of the early 60’s Gretsch Princess, combined with the fun bits of a Fender Jazzmaster.
The neck on this plays better than most of the American Fenders I’ve played, and it sounds better than most Jazzmasters I’ve owned. The stock trem wasn’t great so I upgraded to a Fender AVRI tremolo.
Hairline crack in the binding on the 12th fret as pictured, doesn’t affect play or structural integrity in the slightest.
These are extremely hard to find and are VERY sought after. Only 300 were ever made in this finish. There are only two currently for sale online, the cheapest of which is on Reverb for $1220. I love this guitar and almost decided not to sell it while recording a sound demo. But, bills must be paid. I will include a fitted padded gig bag!
