Up for sale is an exceptional pair of Onkyo loudspeakers.
This is a very rare model, the D-202AX, originally released in late 90's exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. The speakers feature Onkyo’s proprietary Micro Fiber Diaphragm woofers, known for their excellent transient response and natural midrange reproduction. These are paired with a pure silk soft dome tweeter, delivering smooth, well-extended highs without harshness.
The bass-reflex enclosure provides surprisingly deep, well-controlled low frequencies for a bookshelf-class design, resulting in a balanced, musical, and engaging sound signature that easily outperforms many speakers of similar size.
The cabinets and front grilles are in good overall condition, with only normal signs of use consistent with age.
Power handling is rated at up to 80 watts continuous, making them a great match for a wide range of vintage and modern amplifiers.
