Mitchell MD-100S (good condition - lower band of the definition)
Bought Used several years ago. Here’s what I know:
-I replaced the plastic saddle and bridge pins with bone (personally, I like the all white look, and think there may be some marginal sound improvement)
-I (non-professional-luthier) repaired/glued a crack in the solid spruce top; I was happy with the results (though that’s in the context of this being a used guitar in below average condition)
-I replaced the tuners with a new set of Gotoh SG-301 (18:1 ratio); subjective, but I think these work great and the guitar holds good tune (relative to other entry-level guitars)
-I replaced the bottom strap button/pin and added another to the neck/heel
I’ve tried to point out all of the notable flaws in the body in photos. I’ll again mention the repair to the top as well as the numerous dings/dents/scuffs throughout. This was sold to me as “excellent” condition, which was a gross mis-categorization of the condition. I do my best to represent the accurate condition of the instruments I own or sell. This one has some battle scars, but they add character and I don’t believe detract from a great sounding instrument at a very good price. Please send me a message with any questions you may have.
Planning to de-tune and ship in a retail guitar box (not original), as well as packing in a shipping box. I can ship in a hard chipboard case instead of the used retail box for an additional $35 (Alverez brand, used but with working buckles/hardware). I can ship in a gig-bag for an additional $10.
