1969 Guild ST-303 Rare Factory Green

The Guild Studio 303 (ST-303) is one of Guild’s most elusive late-’60s/early-’70s models—produced only from 1968 to 1972 and never in large quantities. There were less than a few hundred produced. These guitars almost never show up for sale, especially in unique factory custom colors, and this one is an absolute standout: a deep emerald-green factory finish in absolutely stunning condition. Most likely this is both the only factory green Studio 303 they ever made and the cleanest example of this model anywhere.

This example features the classic Studio 303 design:
• Thinline hollowbody construction (similar to an casino/ 330)
• Factory Guild Bigsby-style vibrato
• Original knobs, hardware, and pickups (Stock Guild pickups and wiring harness-the middle position is out of phase!)
• Bound top, back, and neck
• Original hardshell case with orange lining
• Gorgeous factory F-holes and a dark, classy pickguard that perfectly complements the green top

The tonal characteristics are exactly what you’d hope for from a late-’60s Guild: airy resonance, lively mids, and a wonderfully expressive response when paired with the trem system. It plays beautifully up the neck with comfortable action and a fast, slim profile. Frets have been hardly played!

Cosmetically, the guitar is in beautiful all original condition. I can't find any checking on the guitar, there are only a few minor scuffs on the neck and on the body. Nonetheless, it is in gorgeous condition quite possibly the nicest example of this model. Absolutely no breaks or repairs.
