Circa 1965-1968 Epiphone Howard Roberts Custom. Here is a real rare opportunity to own a nice hard to find collector guitar. This is an extremely rare guitar. I've only ever seen 1 for sale. This is the only one I've seen with a Frequensator Tailpiece. These original Epiphone Howard Roberts Customs had a 25 1/2 "scale. 7 Piece Maple Neck. Carved Spruce top. Maple Back and sides Johnny Smith style floating pickup. The pickguard was replaced with a very high quality custom piece due to outgassing and deterioration. The original pick guard is included. This is a great playing and sounding guitar! It's one of the last real Epiphones with the iconic Vine headstock inlay. Period correct hardshell case included. I think there were likely only 25 or so of these made. Epiphone made the original Howard Roberts guitars prior to the Gibson version of the early to mid 1970's.
