Telefunken + DRIP U73B Custom Mastering Limiter (DIY)
Our users rate Reverb
A partially built Drip U73b+Varicom mastering limiter. Included is a BOM with the remaining parts.
IME the Varicom are next level and I wouldn't want any of the U73 series without it.
I bought this thinking to finish it, but I have too much work right now. I do really want to have this comp around as I use the plugin on 60% of session and having the real hardware's low mid body + width and depth would be an upgrade, so If someone around LA wants to finish it as a paid project or wants to finish it and split custody please get in touch.
Included in the sale: Case, Front panel with Meters, populated PCBs (U73b-left, U73b-right, Panel-left, Panel-right, Varicom, Power), Sowter Transformers, NOS Telefunken, Mullard and other tubes. Prior builder reported it was around $2700 in parts.
So, if you enjoy DIY and want the classic german comrade of the Fairchild, here it is. It's large and I'm not removing the transformers just to ship it, so this local pick up only.
DIY equipment - no returns.
Price was temporarily raised as I'm hesitant to sell and negotiating with a builder. Contact me if you have interest.
