For sale is a pair of Audix CX112B large-diaphragm condenser microphones, sold together, plus a third CX112B included for free for parts.

Important condition notes (please read):

• The two working microphones are both missing their top grilles. This has no effect on sound or performance—they were just used in a session this week and are working perfectly.
• The third mic is included for free. It powers on but has audible hiss and is best kept for parts or potential repair.
• All three microphones include their original wooden boxes.

These microphones have been used at Vose Street Sound, my smoke-free, professional studio, and have been handled with care. The two main mics are fully functional and sound exactly as they should.

The Audix CX112B is a bit of a sleeper mic, and in my experience they are the best tom mics I’ve ever used—big, punchy, fast, and incredibly easy to place in a mix. They also work great on:

• Rack toms and floor toms
• Kick drum (outside)
• Guitar cabinets
• Percussion
• Low brass and other high-SPL sources

They deliver a huge, aggressive, modern condenser tone that handles high SPL beautifully and gives you that “record-ready” attack and weight without fuss.

I truly love these mics and never planned to sell them. Unfortunately, life has thrown me some difficult curveballs and I’m forced to make some hard choices.
