The Lite Ash Stratocaster was a Korean made model from the mid-2000s with distinct aesthetic features compared to other Stratocaster models of the decade. These guitars used highly figured, vaguely birdseye maple necks, and pearl dot inlays. The headstocks have only a Fender logo, and the serial numbers are the letter-less Korean style, where the first two digits indicate the year of production.

Up for sale is this 2004 Fender Lite Ash Stratocaster Special Edition made in Korea. This rare model was exclusively crafted in South Korea with a lite ash body and a figured birdseye maple neck with abalone inlays. It comes with its original USA Seymour Duncan Alnico Pro2 staggered pickups for the neck and middle, a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails added in the bridge, and a premium 2-point synchronised tremolo as found on the more expensive American Deluxe models. You also get the special edition Fender headstock logo by itself as only found on the Korean and Japanese built guitars. The guitar looks like its only a few months old, but it's actually 20 years old! Well on its way to becoming a vintage classic.
