A very special vintage amp.

This is an excellent example of a 1968 Danelectro dx 250 Piggy Back Guitar Amp. These were some of the last ones made in Neptune City NJ before the company disappeared. They were only made for two years in 1968 and 69. No idea which year it is.

These cool amps were designed like the Silvertone Twin Twelves as the top fits into the back of the speaker cab to transport. The amp is all original to what we can tell. The 12 inch Special Design Speaker appears to be original and the rest doesn't look like its been messed with at all. The Tolex is still in great shape as is all the screen printing on the face.

The guitar boasts 40 watts, it is quite loud for its size..It has two channels. The second has working reverb and tremelo. Both effects work perfectly. When you turn the volume off you can still hear the reverb which is a very cool effect.

The speaker cord is attached on the speaker and has been modified to plug into the head using a quarter inch and the dual ft switch plug.

Cool vintage amp that will complete your Danelectro guitar and amp collection. I have loved playing it and hope that we find the right new owner to love it some more!
