This is a a vintage-voiced Alnico V matched and balanced set of handmade pickups made for deep, rich, vintage, soulful tones inspired by Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, Frusciante, Knopfler, et al.
An easy and instant upgrade to your strat and handmade in Auckland, New Zealand from premium components and made for life on the road and for delivering great tone night after night.
The bridge is scatterwound to 6.3k for a slightly overwound and beefier tone, with a thicker bass, rolled off high end, and smooth slightly scooped midrange. The neck and middle are 5.5k and 5k respectively for improved clarity and sparkle.
Like all Kingdom Pickups, these are all handmade at our workshop in Auckland. The Verona all use Alnico 5 magnets and vintage correct vulcanized fibreboard bobbins and cloth wrapped wire- this set is all about classic rich tone with extra scatterwound mojo.
Lightly potted in our own proprietary blend for stability, noise reduction, and protection, these are stage ready for those long nights under the lights.
