Gibson Historic ABR-1- “Unmounted/Mint” Nickel Tune-o-Matic bridge “Non Wired” with Brass and Nylon Saddles for Iconic Archtop, Semi-Hollow and Solid Body guitars.
The ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge is one of the many Gibson held patents under the legendary Ted McCarty’s watch in 1954.
The cast metal Nickel plated adjustable bridge allows for individual string intonation +/- along with thumbwheel screws for height adjustment.
The bridge saddles are reversible for extending the intonation adjustment and made of nickel plated brass with a sharp witness point for tuning accuracy.
The ABR-1 is planted firmly into the solid body or bridge base of the arch/carved top guitar, transferring the string vibration directly into the body/top adding brilliance and sustain along with great tonal definition.
This authentic US current production Gibson bridge was state of the art back in its day and remains a key element today in achieving a true vintage tonality. Be it a Craved Top, Hollow body, Semi-hollow or Solid body guitar, it no doubt has the magic…
