Here for sale is a great playing LA Benge 5X Bb Trumpet! S/N14xxx puts the Benge being made in the mid-70s. The 5X features a ML bore, a rich and dark 5 bell, and a brand new leadpipe made by O'Malley brass. The trumpet has seen better days, but this is the indication that this is a player's horn, not a dog sitting in someone's closet! This Benge has a dense core with resonant but darker timbre in comparison to the 3X, which is more commercial sounding. The trumpet is missing the 3rd slide stopper and has some dings and dents, but the playability outweighs the looks!
