This 2019 Fender Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic features a two-piece alder body finished in aged black nitrocellulose lacquer with extensive authentic checking and wear. The neck is a rift-sawn maple ’59-style “C” shapewith a medium-tint nitro finish, heavy relic treatment, and pronounced fretboard wear. It has a 9.5" radius, 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, and a bone nut for modern playability with vintage feel.

Electronics include Custom Shop hand-wound ’50s Fat Strat single-coil pickups (neck, middle RWRP, and bridge) wired with vintage-style Strat circuitry. Hardware is vintage-correct, including an American Vintage Strat tremolo, aged chrome/nickel hardware, parchment pickguard, and vintage-style tuners. The guitar delivers classic late-’50s Strat tone—full, woody lows, chimey highs, and dynamic response—paired with the broken-in feel of a well-played original.
