Up for sale is a vintage Buescher True Tone Low Pitch saxophone. Based on the serial number (194484) and published Buescher serial number charts, this instrument appears to date to approximately 1925, making it a true vintage American-made saxophone from Buescher’s highly regarded True Tone era.
We are not woodwind experts and have not professionally tested or serviced this instrument. The previous owner stated that the saxophone still played well, but due to the age of the instrument, buyers should expect that it may benefit from maintenance or adjustment depending on their needs.
Condition Notes:
- The brass finish is very worn, even considering its age (please see photos).
- No major damage observed — no large dents, gashes, or cracks visible.
- Keys and mechanisms appear intact.
- Normal cosmetic wear consistent with nearly 100 years of use.
