Up for grabs is a used / pre-owned genuine Gibson Dreadnought Hardshell Case.  From the 2000s (I believe it's specifically from 2001). It's generally lightly used.

Black Tolex Exterior, Wood Construction, Blue Plush Padded Interior, Gold Colored Hardware.

Lid has the following graphic (which is mostly circular): the Gibson logo + the word ACOUSTICS and the words TONE FEEL APPEARANCE [SEE close-up picture # 3].

• NO guitar included.

The tab for the accessories compartment is made of black plastic and it says CASE Made in CANADA (SEE close-up picture # 5).

NOTE: This hardshell case fits a square should dreadnought perfectly. It's a very good fit for a dreadnought cutaway (as seen in picture # 8 - guitar NOT included). It also fits a round shoulder dreadnought -- but there wil be a space at upper left and right the shoulder areas - since the "mold" / shape of the body area is for a square shoulder body.

I'm pretty sure that this case was originally paired with a 2001 Gibson Hummingbird (square should dreadnought). The guitar is NOT included. I sold that guitar a few years ago.

• And since I did not have another square shoulder Gibson acoustic guitars near me - I placed a late 2010s Gibson Hummingbird Hummingbird Mahogany M (Avant Garde AG)  - which has a a dread cutaway body in the HS CASE. The guitar is NOT included -- it is only shown for example purposes. FYI the Hummingbird Mahogany M (Avant Garde AG) dreadnought cutaway eventually became the Songwriter dreadnought cutaway acoustic..

This is a solid - very strong case.. The outer part of the body area is curved (NOT flat) so this adds more protection for the front body area. More detail about this case are after the shipping info.

EXTERIOR TOLEX AREAS: 

• TOP SIDE (pictures # 1, 9, 10, and 11) - Many areas are fine clean. But some areas have some light & not so visible scratches, nicks, scuffs, markings: Also the body area has a couple of tiny & very small nicks on some of the edges. And the neck area has a not too long / not too short (not too light / not too deep) scratch like scuff in the tolex. The imperfections that I just mentioned are not visible in the pictures - but they can be sen in person. Feel free to ask for close-up pictures.
• BOTTOM SIDE (pictures # 2, 12, 13, 14) - It has some nicks, marking, scuffs and scratches. Most of them are on the main body area of the case. A couple are on the neck area. Also the body area has a couple of tiny & very small nicks on some of the edges.
• Long Narrow Front Side (side with the latchee & handle) (Full View Picture # 22) - Tolex areas are very clean. If you closely examine it - you might see a few very minor imperfecions.
• Long Narrow Back Side (Side with Hinged) (Full View Picture # 23) - Tolex area is very clean. If you closely examine it - you might see a few very minor imperfecions.
• Short Narrow Top Side (above headstock) (Pictures # 11 and # 14) Tolex area is very clean. If you closely examine it - you might see a few very minor imperfecions.
• Butt End (you can kind of see this side in pictuues # 10 and # 12) Tolex area is very clean. A few minor imperfecions.

Other areas:

• Gibson logo + the word ACOUSTICS and the words TONE FEEL APPEARANCE : It's mostly fine. It has a couple of not too serious imperfections (veru small faded spots) in / on the gold color from use & handling (some of these imperfections show up more in close-up picture # 3 than they appear in person. I can fill in the faded spots with gold marker.
• The LID stays up when in the open position.

• The PLUSH MATERIAL is fine (just a little uneven), soft, and it's very clean. NOTE: About three years ago - I did gently clean the inside of the case That's why you don't see the neck, strings, & bridge impressions on the under-side of the lid and that's why the plush material a little uneven..
• INSIDE of the Case: From a pet free / smoke free envionment - therefore the inside smells fine. Actually - it really has no noticeable scent (esp since I cleaned it)
• HANDLE: Fine / clean. It is made of a hard plastic material. Most of the gold colored finish on metal pices the the handle attached to has faded off. The color of the hinges is now moslty a cloudy silver color becasue mos tof the gold ginish has worn off.
• LATCHES - Almost all of the gold colored finish has faded off and the latches are now mostly a chrome / silver rcolor. They have some very tiny & tiny nicks and few light short dash scratches. Some of the latches have very tiny brown spots - some are tiny rust spots and some are a little bit of left tover gold finish.  NO combo lock. The latch to the right of the handle has a small loop for you to put a lock on - if that's what you want to do (lock NOT included). Since this latch has a small narrow opening (slot) that the loop goes through when the latch is closed & opened (and since this is a pre-owned case) - sometime the loop hits up against the edges of the slot on the latch. So (for now) - I feel that this latch does not open / close as smoothly as the other three latches (so I'll gently sand the edges of the loop and add some lubriacation to improve how it opens & closes). Another reason that the latch with the small hoop does not open & close as smoothly as the other latches is because the center horizontal edges slighty hit up / rub againt each tother (IN picture # 18 - I have arrows pointing to these locations and there are written notes).
• HINGES: Most of the gold colored finish has faded off - there is just a little bit of the gold finish on the hinges. The color of the hinges is now moslty a cloudy silver color. There are a couple of tiny and very small nicks.
• Metal Ball Feet:  Most of the gold colored finish has faded off. They has some tiny & very small nicks, a few tiny rust spots and some light scuffs
• BLACK PLASTIC TAB for the Accessories Compartment: It says CASE Made in CANADA. This plastic tab is mostly fine with a few minor imperfections. And it has light aging.

This HS case was never gigged out with it by me. I would handle it evey so often (mostly at home). A majority of whatever imperfections that this HS Case has were on it prior to me purchasing it. I'm not sure the manner of to how the previoud owner used it. / handled it. But from the looks of this - I would say on a less than average basis.

When this HS case had a guitar in it (guitar NOT included) - it was was always humifdiied (NO humidification product included)..

I took many pictures of this HS Case . Picture # 8 (only provided as a reference) shows a Gibson dreadnought cutaway in this HS Case. (guitar NOT included).

NOTE:  There may be some imperfections that I overlooked.   There some imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures (or that do not show up accurately in the pictures). And - there are some imperfections show up in the pictures that are not visible in person (such as glares, reflections, and / or dust specks).

• In most situations - the shipping carrier that I will be using for USA shipments (states and territories) is USPS -- but I also use UPS.  Since the s/p cost varies  (depending on location) - I put a general cost of  of $217 (which is the price for me shipping it to California, Oregon, Hawaii, Alaska using USPS Ground). But for some USA locations the s/p cost will be lower than $217. EXAMPLE - the s/p cost to ship to NJ / NY will cost about $106 /  $113.  Therefore I can edit this s/p cost.
