The G&L L-2000 bass is a versatile instrument that was designed by Leo Fender in 1980 and is still in production today. Its Blue'burst finish is stunning showing off its grainey Ash body. Its maple neck feels wonderful having a nice satin finish. The L-2000 was one of the first basses designed by Fender for the G&L brand. It features a pair of G&L Magnetic Field Design (MFD) humbuckers, a three-way toggle switch, and a Tri-Tone control system. The Tri-Tone system allows for pickup selection, series/parallel signal routing, and active/passive operation. The L-2000 is known for its wide range of tones, from classic R&B to power-packed rock to poppin' funk. The L-2000 is available in many different wood choices and neck profiles. For example, the 1981 L-2000 features a two-piece Mahogany body, Maple neck, and Rosewood fingerboard. The L-2000 is still in production today at the G&L factory in Fullerton, California, where Leo Fender's private workshop remains at the center of the factory. It's truly near mint & comes w/a ton of paperwork including its rare COA signed by Phillis Fender-Leo's wife, sales sheet, warranty brochure & G & L's 10 year guarentee sheet all in its original molded hard case.
