Was mislabeled as '80's in original listing. it a '70's! Original owner. Came out of a '74 Les Paul Standard bridge position which got played a lot. Noted musician and luthier, Steve Soest modded my Les Paul for coil taps around '76 or '77. He rebuilt the DiMarzio PAF for coil split, but not sure if he did the SD as well-maybe it was a DS-3 already.
One part of protective tape over the windings is mashed a bit, so painter's tape is there for additional temporary protection.
Cable is about 6.5"
Looks like this guy is somewhat rare these days.
