The 323 Discrete Mic / Instrument Preamplifier for 500 Series is powered by an original and proprietary 9-transistor Amplifier and boasts 3 Transformers. Switchable inputs of Microphone or Hi-Z instrument (balanced or unbalanced). Only the finest components are utilized in this high end piece. Vintage style metal can transistors are used for the audio signal while modern surface mount Nexperia semiconductors handle the electrical supply signal (current sources). This is a brawny circuit that pushes out a lot of current. 

All metalwork is done here in LA by Mount Cyanide (actually, just me). The front panel is meticulously made by hand using blackener on raw aluminum and a diamond drag bit. It's super artisan and comes out looking uniquely vintage. The metal brackets and support are made on a Shapeoko CNC machine in very small batches. Frankly, everything is made in very small batches for the utmost in perfect imperfection. No two units are cosmetically identical. This is truly handmade collectible stuff here.

2nd GAIN STAGE: Switchable HIGH PASS FILTER.

The 80 Hz High Pass Filter is great for getting rid of rumble and an indispensible tool.

This unique circuit also uses the same 323 amplifier as the preamp section and adds an extra layer of delicious discrete transistor thickness. 

All switching is done by high quality relays so no worries about crackling electromechanics. The LED Meter driver is the only place where you'll find an IC and it's outside of the signal path so it's  got absolutely no bearing on the sonics.
