Very nice all original 1965 Harmony-made “Rocket” with the Montgomery Wards Airline brand and the insanely cool diamond cutouts on the pickup covers. And the pups are the insanely cool Dearmond-Rowes (of course!), which more commonly sport gold foil appointments. Guitar is in absolutely fantastic condition throughout, with just minimal playing and handling wear. The Airline logo is mostly worn off the pickguard from strumming. It rather curiously has some finger divots in the ebonized fretboard, but very fortunately these are out in the open-chord positions and are not felt when grabbing bends (I’m an aggressive string bender and shaker, and I don’t notice them at all.) The frets are actually only lightly worn, which makes me wonder if this guitar was played by a rock-n-roll (or country) gal who may have had longer fingernails but less of the vice grip that so many of us guys throttle our guitars with… Very slight neck relief – just discernable sighting down the neck – but no effect on playing. Note there’s NO trussrod adjustment here, so go easy on the tension. BTW, even the original case is in excellent condition.
