Gibson SG/EB Bass 60s-70s - Walnut

As far as I can tell this is a Gibson EB bass but I cannot confirm or deny this because the serial number is not there🤷‍♂️. I got this as a husk with just the control back plate, nut , truss rod cover, and the 2 Gibson labled tuners( included). It looks to be a repaired EB that once had the slotted head-stock( because there is only 19 frets). Very old and well done scarf joint repair as shown. Not sure about the difference in color where the neck meets the body but whatever Was done was done very well and is solid as a rock 🪨. I added black Gibson tuners and a hipshot bridge. A new hole was made for the toggle switch. Made a jack plate as well. Has 2—500k pots and a 47uf capacitor. These pair well with the vintage EB pickup and added DeArmond pickup. Acoustically this thing sounds great and that comes through when plugged in. Killer thump with the EB pickup. Nice highs with the DeArmond, and when combined in the middle position there is a sweet sounding bell like tone similar to a P bass. Has dings and dents as show. it’s a real solid player. Great feeling C shape neck. Truss rod works perfectly, and plenty of fret life left. Comes with gig bag. So make an offer on this unique soild tone machine. Enjoy👨🏻‍🍳
