I received this accordian as a gift and have not learned to play. I cannot claim expertise. It has been my expereince with this instrument that it plays well. All the keys seem to work. I did experience one key that sounded as if the reed had a little wheeze to it. At the time of this posting, I have not been able to replicate that wheeze. I do not know how to locate the seriel number or the year of manufacturer. The date range included in this listing in a wild guess.
