Tama Starclassic Maple 2004 Blue Silk EFX 4pc - NEVER PLAYED

Rare 2004 Starclassic Maple EFX in Blue Silk wrap with Brushed Nickel. These drums are basically BRAND NEW - NEVER setup and played, only taken out of the boxes for pictures. These were for sale in a drum shop marked as "Brand New", we purchased them and have kept them in the box since, only taking them out for pictures. You can no longer get Tama Starclassics in this blue silk wrap and they appear to be harder and harder to come by.

In the picture with the boxes, this kit is the 2 Tama boxes circled in red.

***EDIT: My apologies if you saw the sizes BEFORE i corrected them. I thought I had them right but kept questioning myself. I took them out and re-measured and sure enough I was off. The most notable change is the "floor tom"....it's actually a 14x11 RACK tom and not a 14x14 floor tom. I had this mistaken for a tom that was part of the other half of this kit that I sold.

"When the thin-shelled Starclassic Maple drums debuted in 1994, there were a plethora of painted finishes to choose from, but not one covered finish. Nor were there any plans for a covered finish version—ever. And outside of the United States (including Japan), that remains true.

But in the United States, drummers and drum shops constantly importuned TAMA to offer Starclassic Maple drums with covered finishes and at the Summer NAMM show in 2004, TAMA unveiled Starclassic Maple EFX ("EFX" is the TAMA designation for any drum with a special, heavy-duty covered finish).

So now drummers in the States, who want the protection, standout classic looks and just ever so slightly darker response of a covered premium maple shell can now have exactly that in three classic Duracover finishes: Blue Silk, Red Silk, and Silver Silk. Starclassic Maple EFX is equipped with all the signature features that make Starclassic Maple great drums including die-cast hoops, Star-Cast Mounting system and premium maple shells, although the shells are 1 mm thicker with 1 more ply than Starclassic Maple drums."
